Today I thought I would do a natural summer look that I wear most days, so here are the steps!
I use the Benefit Pore Fessional Matte Rescue primer (https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/uk/en-gb/product/the-porefessional-matte-rescue). I just rub it all over my face after moisturiser and it leaves a smooth matte finish, and protects my skin from breakouts!
2) Eye Primer,
For another primer i use this Mac eye primer. I couldn't find it on the sight, but its a little pot with what looks like a foundation. It hydrates my eyes and makes them an even colour, so when i apply eyeshadow, it's as bright as possible! I use my real techniques beauty blender for the best coverage. (https://realtechniques.com/miracle-complexion-sponge-2-pack/p/1462)
3) Tinted moisturiser
As I am quite young, I feel that I don't need a heavy foundation. So I just use a natural sheer skin tint from Liz Earle (http://uk.lizearle.com/face/sheer-skin-tint-spf-15.html). I just dot it all over my face and again using my Beauty blender and Real Techniques Stippling brush to blend. (https://realtechniques.com/stippling-brush/p/1408).
For concealer, I just use a simple La Prairie concealer for any spots i want to cover up, and for under my eyes (https://www.laprairieswitzerland.com/en/cellular-concealing-brightening-eye-treatment/MV0016.html?dwvar_MV0016_color=shade%2010&cgid=face#start=1). I use the applicator to apply and blend it in with my once again, trusty beauty blender.
Now, to finish of my face I use the La Prairie cellular treatment loose powder, which is translucent, but a great for sweeping over the face with my Red Techniques powder brush (https://realtechniques.com/powder-brush/p/1401).
Today I use my Benefit Hoola bronzer ( https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/us/en/product/hoola-matte-bronzer). I use a real techniques Bronzer brush (https://realtechniques.com/retractable-bronzer-brush/p/1417) to sweep it over my face going from my forehead, to my cheek, to my chin, in a 3 shape motion, and a bit on both sides of my nose.
As i was using highlight today I went for a light blush just for the apples of my cheeks, which is Dandelion from Benefit (https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/us/en/product/dandelion-brightening-finishing-powder)
I use a liquid highlight called high beam by Benefit(once again yes i know i like Benefit). It comes in a little bottle with a nail polish brush sort of applicator. I dot this on my cheeks and a little on y nose. I then use my fingers and beauty blender to blend it in.
I find powder best for my eyebrows. I have really dark ones so all i need to do to them is define them. So I use a dark brown powder. It doesn't say what type it is or product, but I've had it for quite a while so i just know its from mac. Its amazing and simple for me, so if you have dark eyebrows then I suggest looking in mac for you.
One of my all time favourite eyeshadow pallets is Chocolate bar by Too Faced (https://www.toofaced.com/p/eye-shadow-palettes/chocolate-bar-eye-shadow-collection/). It has amazing nudes, but bright colours as well. Today I used just this palette for a simple look. In the corner of my eyes and just below my eyebrows I put white chocolate(1) using my deluxe crease brush. Then I got my base shadow brush and used salted caramel(2) over the base of my eyelid. In the crease I then put milk chocolate(3). And then, just for a bit of difference I put Hazelnut(4) just above milk chocolate. Using my accent brush I pressed the shimmery marzipan(5) pretty much all over the base of my eye, and then I also pressed champagne truffle(6) into the corner of my eye. The brushes I used can be found in this real techniques set (https://realtechniques.com/starter-set/p/1406) which also contains the brow brush I used for my eyebrows.
My favourite mascara is They're Real! By Benefit (https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/uk/en-gb/product/theyre-real-lengthening-mascara). Its an amazing lengthening mascara nd I feel it really makes my eyes pop.
And finally, the lips. I wanted a nice pink look so i used two products today (including another but its not actually for the lips. First I brushed over a tiny bit of Bene-tint lip ad cheek stain(https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/uk/en-gb/product/benetint-cheek-lip-stain). Then in the middle of my lips I dotted a tiny bit of my high beam highlighter and gently blended it in with my fingers. This technique is amazing for brightening you lips, and even making them look a bit larger! Then finally, I put on Luxe lip colour by Bobbi Brown in the shade spring pink (http://www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/product/2342/37182/makeup/lips/lip-color/luxe-lip-color/fh15#/shade/Spring_Pink).
I hope you enjoyed reading this!I know I haven't put a photo of this finished look, but I felt a bit insecure about it. But hopefully you can picture what it looks like in your head. I hope this wasn't to boring, it's probably one of those posts where you flick through and don't read every single detail. Let me know what I did well or what I could improve in the comments!
On this page will be Beauty and Fashion related things, for example, what I'm wearing at the moment, what makeup I'm using, and reviews. Enjoy!
